Our day begins with a trip to Sečovlje Salina Nature Park to collect our bicycles.
We will enjoy a leisurely cycle ride along the salt pans and continue upstream into the Dragonja valley.
We will stop at an ecological farm where we will learn a great deal about beekeeping, followed by morning tea, which will include tasting honey specialties and tea made from indigenous herbs.
Now having revitalized from our honey snack we will bike up to Koštabona, with a stop at the Supot Waterfall. In Koštabona we will have time to explore this typical Istrian village, perched on top of the hill above the Dragonja Valley. Continuing our journey we will cycle along the ridge taking in the panoramic views on our way to the village of Nova Vas.
In Nova Vas we will take a break to enjoy a typical Istrian lunch at a local farm.
Continuing along the ridge, we will make a short stop at the village of St. Peter (Sveti Peter), explore its heritage and visit the restored stone olive press.
Descending back towards our starting point we will enjoy the views of the salt pans and the sea, framed by the Istrian countryside.
Late afternoon we will return to Sečovlje Salina Nature Park and travel back to your accommodation.
Optional: extend your active day into the evening and visit the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park followed by a gourmet dinner in the heart of the salt pans
