Explore the Salina Coast and Istrian hinterland while nurturing your body and soul.
Day 1 Holiday begins
Your local host will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodations. After settling in you’ll be acquainted with your week’s activities over a welcome smoothie, followed by dinner at an ecological farm – your first taste of the fresh and healthy Mediterranean cuisine of Istria.
Day 2 Nature Cure in Saline
We will get pampered in the unique thalasso spa set in the calming landscape Salina Nature Park. The tradition of using mineral rich salt-pan mud and brine for natural cure and wellness dates back to the Benedictines. You will be able to enjoy in brine bathing, kneiping and healing mud wraps.
Eco lunch will be served in Fioret, a caffe by the Salina’s main canal.
You will have the afternoon at your leisure in Salina Nature Park, where you can choose to join a guided tour with the ranger learning about the fascinating saltmaking process and the importance of the park as bird nesting and migration habitat. Or you can simply stroll through the park, spotting birds and breathing in the beneficial air.
We will enjoy a light dinner in the health-food restaurant in Portoroz, before returning to the accommodation.
Day 3 Ring dance Krog
We will travel to nearby Krog, site of the medieval Benedictine monastery with marvelous views over Salina Nature Park and the bay. Our day will start with an energetic ring dance, that will have tantalise our senses.
We will then tour the former Benedictine monastery and learn about the monks’ contribution to Salina and the start of natural cure and wellness based on Salina’s natural wealth. We will also learn about the “clauses” – Benedictine massage cells.
We will enjoy a healthy picnic lunch that will be delivered to us by a nearby eco farm, admiring the vast views.
Building on the Benedictine tradition of massage, we will be joined by a masseur teacher in the afternoon. We will wind down and learn during the massage workshop under the olive trees.
The rest of the afternoon is free at you leisure, strolling along the hilltop, enjoying the beautiful scenery or getting pampered with a individual massage.
A light dinner of typical Istrian Mediterranean dishes will be served at the nearby eco farm.
Day 4 Yoga day
Awaken your senses with a morning yoga session in Salina Nature Park. Mornings in Salina are particularly beautiful, with a calm atmosphere and reflections of the light in the salt-pans.
After the yoga session you can choose a treatment in Lepa Vida talasso spa or just relax on the recliners by the water.
A healthy eco lunch will be served in Fioret, by the canal.
After lunch we will join a short boat tour through the canals of Salina to the Museum and the restored salt worker’s cottage, exploring the world of the past.
Later in the day we will be a part of an unforgettable yoga session with the sunset
We will enjoy a healthy hearty meal and a magical evening by the fire
Day 5 Tai-chi
We will have a morning session among the art of Forma Viva Sculpture Park. Afterwards we will have time to admire the large collection of limestone sculptures set in a Mediterranean park at the tip of Cape Seca.
We will enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch in a beautiful setting among the sculptures, then have the rest of the afternoon at Cape Seca Beach.
The dinner will be served at The Fisherman’s restaurant by the beach.
Day 7 Energetic pilgrimage to Strunjan
We will start our day in the Holy Church of our Lady of the Rosary in Portorož. Built in the 80s, its interesting architecture includes a large cross resembling a mast rising out of the multi-angled nave. You can admire its modern interior with vivid stained glass and ceramic altar created by contemporary Slovenian artists, while the vicar welcomes us.
We will then set on our “pilgrimage” through the former Parenzana train tunnel towards Strunjan. Our path will take us through Strunjan Nature Park and we will visit the salt-pans and a restored salt worker’s cottage. We will arrive to the 16th century Church of the Apparition of the virgin Mary in time for mass, that you can attend if you wish.
After lunch in a restaurant near the church we will walk to the earth’s energy point at the cross on top of the 80 meters high cliffs. The cross was erected for the 500th anniversary of the apparition of Mary, as a sign of hope and salvation for all sailors and visitors. We will have a chance to sit back and recharge ourselves at this special place.
We will then continue our pilgrimage bellow the cliffs to Piran, a beautiful medieval coastal town with the Church of St George perched on top of the cliff. We will tour the church and the baptistery, followed by an inspiring meditation session with a view.

Day 7 A day of your choice
Spend you last day experiencing whatever you liked most, either choosing one of the wellness treatments in Lepa Vida thalasso spa or exploring the area.
In the evening we will meet again for a farewell dinner by the fire in a unique natural setting amidst the Mediterranean landscape of Salina countryside.
Day 8 Homeward bound
After breakfast at the accommodation you have your day at leisure before bidding farewell to our hosts and transfer to the airport.
